What Is the Hearts in Action Program?

The Hearts in Action Program is a community outreach initiative by Devotion Hospice, created to connect neighbors, families, and friends through acts of compassion, service, and joy.
Participants—both children and adults—can help spread kindness, create comfort items, or volunteer their time to support patients, families, and caregivers.

Whether you’re 6 or 96, there’s a place for your heart in action

Ways to Participate

• 💌 Make cards or crafts for hospice patients and families

• 🎁 Assemble “Hearts of Joy” or comfort care bags

• 🌻 Paint kindness rocks or plant Seeds of Hope

• 💕 Write letters or create art for caregivers

• 🧵 Volunteer to craft blankets, hats, or memory gifts

For Kids & Families

Kids can become Heart Heroes by creating art, cards, or small gifts to share with others.
Each Heart Hero receives a special certificate or prize as a thank-you for sharing their heart in action

For Adults & Teens

Adults and teens can take part in Hearts in Action through visits, crafts, or helping with events and outreach.
No medical background is needed — just a heart for helping others.
